BFW Orion H6600

The Orion series

is designed and developed to ensure precision machining, achieved through the use of high-precision components and heat-resistant properties. Three series are available, covering pallet sizes from 500 x 500 m to 1250 x 1000 m, allowing for a wide range of applications for these machines.

The series' name derives from one of the most prominent and recognizable constellations in the night sky – Orion. The constellation comprises eight gleaming horizontal machining centers. These are the result of an Indo-German collaboration that has set new technical standards and machine performance standards for the company's customers worldwide.

The Orion series philosophy is based on four pillars: Precision, Productivity, Reliability, and Ergonomics.

On-machine temperature sensor for PID control of cooling oil temperature
Spindle sleeve design facilitates maintenance/replacement. A spindle with a gearbox is available for heavy cutting conditions.
Tool loading and unloading is possible during machining.
High-speed, servo-driven automatic tool changer. A lever with a specialized tool clamping mechanism for smooth and reliable tool changes.
Dual chip conveyor - hinged and scraper, inside the bed, with chip discharge from the rear. Oil separator for oil film on the coolant surface (for increased operating speed).
Automatic pallet changer with rotary servo drive.
